  • Salewa says- the Krypton Helmet is a comfortable helmet designed for alpine, sport climbing and multi-sport activities. Competitors will now have to match the ventilation, flyweight construction, simple adjustment system, wearing comfort and forward design.

To say the least a lightweight multisport helmet is hard to find- I only know of two on the market that cover three disciplines. The Krypton Helmet is one of the best and has an incredibly advanced ventilation system to boot…

The Salewa Kryton has a newly developed and patented twin shell which permits efficient ventilation all over the head. All air vents between the two helmet shells are connected by channels and guarantee a continuous exchange of air-which in essence makes for a cool head. I must admit whilst riding I did not feel as if my head was getting hot at all.

Adjusting the helmet is easy; you put the helmet on and turn a button, ideal if you decide to put on a hat during a ride. It takes second and no faff which I like.

The Coolmax® lining certainly makes the helmet comfortable to wear; also the lining can be removed and washed. I hand washed it in fairy liquid and it came up grand.

The four clips on the helmet shell meant that I could fasten any of my headlamps without falling off.
