| After growing up long distance walking, I moved onto orienteering events as I wanted something shorter. A couple of years of that and I realised that longer distance is actually the way forward (and that I cannot sprint). A few 24 hour Rogaines, Long-O's and Mountain Marathons later and its time to take multi-sport events seriously.
Completing the Wilderness ARC in 2007 was an amazing experience and taught me a lot for future races. Always looking for racing partners for this country or abroad (hotmail.com, jeff_pd). | | | | Best AR discipline | Keeping going | | Worst AR discipline | Kayaking | | AR ambitions | To be competitive in expedition races | | AR bugbear | Controls in the wrong place | | AR best moment | Getting to dry land after the kayak from Rum, WARC07 | | AR worst moment | Having to retire from the LAMM due to an injury | | My AR best results | ACE 2-Day Series 2005 - 2nd Male Pair overall | | 1st, Open5 - March 2005 | | 24th KIMM Elite 05, 7th KIMM 'A' 04 | | 4th, Mourne MM 'Elite' - 2004 | | 1st, Irish Rogaine 98 or 99 | | My next AR events | ??? | | Favourite AR race | KIMM | | Favourite piece of kit | The map | | Advice(tip) for other racers | Use your head - orienteer |
