Welcome to the website of Team No Frontiers
Team No Frontiers hail from all parts of Ireland and have come together with similar attitudes and ambitions for our new team in AR.
Our experience in AR ranges from lots to little and plenty of in between. We have a vast amount of sporting achievements to our credit and we aim to collate this into a Successful "One For All" Adventure Racing Team.

We have just returned from the Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge where we competed as the Sleepmonsters.co.uk team as a guest of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority. It proved to be a superbly organised race and despite some unique hot weather and course terrain challenges we were pleased to achieve a top 20 finish amongst many of the world's top teams.
Many thanks to ADTA and Sleepmonsters for giving us the chance to compete in this race.

Our most experienced team member is Paul Mahon who has enjoyed considerable success at national AR events in recent years leading many teams to impressive results in different length and format events.
Internationally Paul has competed worldwide with Irish AR teams and results also include "super-sub" appearances including a 3rd place finish w Team Superfeet in 2006 W Arc and 6th place w Team Sleepmonsters/Inov 8 in 2007 Portugal XPD.

Further significant AR experience on our team comes from Ivan Park who has successfully mixed competing at a high level in UK and Irish competitions with the organisation of Ireland's Premier Adventure race series, namely the Causeway Coast AR series.

Other members of the squad are relatively new to AR but bring with them a solid background of numerous successes in other sports.
Peter Cole has been competing successfully in the highly competitive world of marathon kayaking and has numerous domestic wins to his credit and an impressive 7th place finish in the gruelling 125 mile Devise to Westminster race along with solo and team victories in several 70 Wild Miles multisport races.

Taryn McCoy competed originally in swimming before moving into the triathlon scene three years ago and after completing Ironman last year decided that AR was where the next challenge started.
In 2009 to date she has achieved considerable AR success including wins in the Beast of Ballyhoura, National Adventure Marathon (1st mixed team), 24 hour Rogaine (1st mixed) and when teamed with Andrea in the Carlingford Lough Endurance Challenge (1st female team). They are currently leading the CCAR Race Series category results after several wins.
Taryn has recently being perfecting her kayaking skills by competing with Paul in the Liffey Descent marathon race and has also set the overall record for the fastest "Underround" – a marathon distance challenge including 42 of London's underground stations so is clearly up for the challenge of adventure racing at the highest level with her equally high achieving team mates

Andrea Harrower has also come to AR in the past year from an Ironman triathalon background and along with her team successes she had a notable individual success when recently winning her category at the Irish National Mountain Bike Championships.

Andrea and Taryn were also part of the Bikedock Belles cycle team that recently completed the 1350mile long, including 24,000m of climbing Race Around Ireland – in 91 hours 20 mins

We believe that our squad posesses the necessary mix of skills, experience and ambition to challenge established top teams for podium honours in whatever races we participate in.
